About Jess

After training at Carnegie Mellon for a career in biomedical & materials science engineering - then a brief stint in that field - I found my way to the University of Rochester’s health services research & policy graduate program. During those studies, I met a charismatic survey research professor (s/o to Ken) who later invited me to join his healthcare market research firm.

To say I came to love market research is an understatement. I couldn’t believe I had discovered such a fascinating field, precisely at the intersection of data, humanity, and impact. I genuinely felt my research was helping our clients make better, smarter, decisions. And, I adored leading our talented research team, and helping steer the company into the future.

Alas, the desire for flexibility began to grow. Both for the ways in which I wanted to partner with clients and support their growth, and for myself as a working parent.
